TAYLORMADE

TaylorMade entered the golf ball market in 1999, but its major push began in 2002 after acquiring the Maxfli brand, leading to the 2006 launch of its own premium line, the Tour Preferred (TP). The company has since focused on innovative, multi-layer designs emphasizing performance and distance, with its most advanced model being the five-layer TP5 and TP5x.

1999: TaylorMade launched its first golf ball, the InerGel Pro.

2002: TaylorMade acquired the Maxfli brand from Dunlop-Slazenger, giving it a stronger foothold in the golf ball market.

2006: The company launched its first high-performance urethane-covered ball under its own brand, the Tour Preferred TP.

2008-2014: Over the next few years, TaylorMade introduced several variations of the TP line, including the TP Black/Red, Penta TP, and TP3/TP5 models.

2015-Present: The company continued to innovate, culminating in the development of the five-layer TP5 and TP5x golf balls. These balls are a key part of the company's current lineup.

Current focus: Today, TaylorMade continues to focus on performance and innovation, with a strong presence on professional tours and products tailored to various player needs.
